As some of you know, I'm going out for american idol this year. Today was registration day. Woke up 130 am, and left by 3 am.
When I got there at 4am the line was already pretty decent, but my friend and I still got a decnt spot in line, in the fifth or sixth group. Each group had somewhere between 200 and 500 people in it.
Staff and cameras came around 5:30-6am. I got into. A couple of group shots, and I noticed the camera guy at one point directly zoom the camera very close to my face, giving me a closeup! It was also funnywhen he zooomed in on the people fast asleep on line.
Sitting in line was exhausting, yet fun. People brought guitars with them, so everyone was singing, and they had bagels and
coffee available to buy when people woke up
The line started moving around 7am, I got in around 8.I then was handed a wristband, and ticket with my seat number.
I cannot wait until Tuesday. From what I've heard, there are numerous rounds before you can even go to the main judges, so I don't know what to expect.
